The Chancevision Song Contest, often abbreviated as Chancevision, is a song contest first held in April 30th 2020. The contest is produced by @Chancevision in Twitter; contestants are, therefore, Twitter users.
Chancevision is a contest where everyone has the chance to participate and live their biggest dream: being a contestant in Eurovision! It is inspired by the Eurovision Song Contest and is aimed to countries that have participated in (J)ESC along the years. Contestants provide an artist and a song from the country they have chosen (National Finals are sometimes held) and they cast votes which are translated into points which are then awarded to the most popular songs from each country. The winner is the country with the most points at the end of voting, and it becomes the host nation for the following edition.
As of edition #01, countries must qualify from one or two semi-finals. 12 countries are to be qualified from each semifinal and the host nation already has its automatic qualification for the Grand Final. In upcoming editions, hosting nations will automatically qualify to the Grand Final, as well as the other four highest scoring entries in the previous contest (so that the five contestants with higher scores in the previous edition conform the Big Five).
Contest
The contest, as of the first edition, maintains two semifinals and the Grand Final.
The semifinals and Grand Final have a vote coming from the jury (that is, the participating countries) and a vote coming from the televote. Then, jury and televoting are added up and the winner comes up from that sum.
Rules
Rules for each edition are to be presented in Twitter. The link for the rules is provided in the page of each edition.
Basically, they are virtually the same as in the real contest, albeit with some additions and modifications (required by each edition).
